This comprehensive summary highlights the key changes that will influence the Yukon tax environment in the coming years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><a><strong>Personal Income Tax Measures<\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a>There are no proposed changes to personal income tax rates for 2024.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The income tax rates for the 2024 taxation year, based on your taxable income, are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><thead><tr><td><strong>Taxable income<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Rate<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>$55,867 or less<\/td><td>6.40%<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>More than $55,867 but not more than $111,733<\/td><td>9.00%<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>More than $111,733 but not more than $173,205<\/td><td>10.90 %<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>More than $173,205 but not more than $500,000<\/td><td>12.80%<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>More than $500,000<\/td><td>15.00%<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a>The current personal combined income tax rates for top marginal tax rate in 2024 are outlined&nbsp;below:<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><thead><tr><td><strong>Taxable income above $500,000<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Rate<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Interest\/regular income<\/td><td>48.00%<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Capital gains<\/td><td>24.00%<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Eligible dividends<\/td><td>28.92%<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Non\u2011eligible dividends<\/td><td>44.05%<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Corporate Income Tax Measures<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a>There are no proposed changes to corporate income tax rates or the $500,000 small-business limit for 2024.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The corporate income tax rates for Yukon in 2024 are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><thead><tr><td><\/td><td><strong>Provincial tax rate<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Federal and provincial combined tax rate<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Small-business tax rate<\/td><td>0.00%<\/td><td>9.00%<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>General manufacturing and processing tax rate<\/td><td>2.50%<\/td><td>17.50%<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>General corporate tax rate<\/td><td>12.00%<\/td><td>27.00%<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Other Tax Measures<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-medium-font-size\" style=\"color:#ab0e1e\"><strong>Tobacco Tax Increase<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Effective January 1, 2024, the rate of tax on tobacco per cigarette has increased from 32 cents to 35 cents in accordance with the <em>Tobacco Tax Act<\/em> and the fluctuations in the Whitehorse Consumer Price Index. It is anticipated that this rate will rise to 37 cents in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-medium-font-size\" style=\"color:#ab0e1e\"><strong>Tax on Vaping Products<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Yukon Government has declared its intent to participate in the federally coordinated vaping product taxation framework in 2024\u201325.
